YUMMMMM!!! This is the best freezer jam I have ever had. The best part was getting to make it with my family! My mother and sister-in-law make this every year, and this year I got to join in the fun! It was a blast, and pretty intense when you have 10 gallons of strawberries! So, I am going to try my best to provide you with a recipe for anyone that wants to give it a go!
1 batch ~ (6) 8oz. jars
Ingredients:
- 4 cups – Freshly Mashed Strawberries
- 3 cups – Sugar
- 1 package – Sure-Jell Premium fruit Pectin
- 2 cups – water
Instructions:
- Combine sugar and pectin in bowl
- Pour water and sugar mixture in pot and bring to a boil, stirring the entire time. Once water starts to boil put one minute on the timer and stir until time is up
- Take off heat and pour into strawberries, stirring for one minute
- Pour into jars leaving a little room at the top for when they freeze
- Keep out for 24 hours before putting them into the freezer
Once frozen you can take one out to thaw in the fridge, and ENJOY!
