Strawberry Freezer Jam

004

YUMMMMM!!! This is the best freezer jam I have ever had. The best part was getting to make it with my family! My mother and sister-in-law make this every year, and this year I got to join in the fun! It was a blast, and pretty intense when you have 10 gallons of strawberries! So, I am going to try my best to provide you with a recipe for anyone that wants to give it a go!

1 batch ~ (6) 8oz. jars

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups – Freshly Mashed Strawberries
  • 3 cups – Sugar
  • 1 package – Sure-Jell Premium fruit Pectin
  • 2 cups – water

Instructions:

  1. Combine sugar and pectin in bowl
  2. Pour water and sugar mixture in pot and bring to a boil, stirring the entire time. Once water starts to boil put one minute on the timer and stir until time is up
  3. Take off heat and pour into strawberries, stirring for one minute
  4. Pour into jars leaving a little room at the top for when they freeze
  5. Keep out for 24 hours before putting them into the freezer

Once frozen you can take one out to thaw in the fridge, and ENJOY!
